Mental Wealth Approach
Mental Wealth UK aspires towards communities that support the flourishing of their members. The mental wealth approach has been informed by three years of research, and dialogue with 80+ institutions. Here are five key principles:
- We prescribe to a broad and holistic view of mental health and wellbeing.
- We believe that everyone has the ability to promote the wellbeing of themselves and others.
- We are committed to challenging discrimination and creating a spirit of open-mindedness.
- We recognise the need for good communication, and the role that language plays in determining how people engage with an idea.
- We believe that the resources are often out there, and that we need to work together to help people access them.
The approach can be summarised as: opening minds, creating understanding, and connecting people with the resources to thrive.
