On Wednesday 4th April 2012 an online event was held in order to provide guidance to students and staff around how to promote better mental health on campuses, and to explore some of the key issues affecting students and young people today. Featuring live, interactive sessions through a web conferencing service, it was the first online event of it’s kind.
On Wednesday 4th April we will be hosting a day of seminars, sharings, and discussions about how to build Mental Wealth Groups, promote wellbeing, and create happier, healthier university campuses. In October of 2011 we launched a campaign to increase the number of universities that have Mental Wealth groups from twelve to twenty-five. After an amazing effort by our team and by staff & students around the UK, we hit the target.
On Saturday 28th January groups and supporters met in Leeds to celebrate the 25by2012 campaign and look to the year ahead. The event also featured the presentation of the 2011 Matthew Elvidge Award - a recognition award worth £1000 for students' significant contributions to campus mental health promotion.
